美国18个城市市长致信奥巴马 希望接受比原计划更多的难民 这些城市中有你的吗？
正当全美正在激烈的讨论是不是应该接受叙利亚难民时，一则新闻被人挖坟了，18个城市的市长联名写信给奥巴马表示，他们有意愿接受比原计划更多的难民，其中包括纽约、洛杉矶、芝加哥、波士顿等大城市。
这则9月底的新闻显示，这个18个市长包括洛杉矶市长Eric Garcetti, 纽约市市长Bill deBlasio of New York City和芝加哥市长Rahm Emanuel。他们在联名信中表示：
We will welcome the Syrian families to make homes and new lives in our cities. Indeed, we are writing to say that we stand ready to work with your Administration to do much more and to urge you to increase still further the number of Syrian refugees the United States will accept for resettlement.
意思就是“我们已经准备好了，让叙利亚的难民家庭在这里重建家园，我们愿意接受的难民数量，可以比联邦政府建议的更多，并愿意提供更多的帮助为这些难民重建家园”

不过在上周末的恐怖袭击之后，已经有超过27个州的州长明确表示不会支持奥巴马接受10,000名叙利亚难民的计划，具体的图如下：

当然，这封信是在上周末巴黎恐怖袭击之前的，那现在这些市长是否有所动摇呢？起码洛杉矶的市长Garcetti并未因恐怖袭击动摇自己的立场。据洛杉矶当地新闻媒体报道，他17日早上在洛杉矶机场表示，他将坚决支持加州州长布朗，接受更多来自叙利亚的难民，这是全球的责任，并表示「洛杉矶欢迎难民」。
